Emergency Address Configuration


At the end of this article, you will be able to add new or update existing emergency addresses and allocate numbers to these locations. Should you need any assistance, feel free to contact our support department.


Emergency address management


We highly recommend you have the most up-to-date and accurate addresses associated with your number at all times. In the event of an emergency, Emergency Services will able to respond quickly and arrive at the correct location. 

Within the customer portal, you can configure and link multiple emergency addresses to your account. To do so, click on the Order Services tab on the top bar, then the Phone Numbers tab on the left-hand menu. Click the Emergency address management button to access the tool and add or update the addresses for your account.



Next, click the Add button to add a new address to your account.  Enter the details into the form on the right-hand side. Give the location a name (this will display next to the numbers assigned to that location). If this will be the default address for all future numbers you add to your account, tick the Set default emergency service checkbox.  Click the Update address button once you have filled in the fields. This will save your address to your list of locations.



Assigning a number to a location

Once the locations are added, you have the option to choose a number and apply this to a different location. To do so, click the tick box next to the number(s) you wish to move and select the location you wish to link the number to. Then, click Apply to selected numbers button to update the location for that telephone number. You will notice underneath the number, the location name will update also.


You can also assign a number to a location via the Currently active numbers section of the Order Service tab. If you are looking to update one or so numbers at a time, you'll find this step to be convenient for you. Locate the number you wish to update, then click the drop-down box in the Emergency address column and select the location you wish to set for this number. Once you have made your selections, do not forget to tick the checkbox and "submit order" to save your changes (you will not be charged for this).
